Caroline McKenzie - The Drowning Of Ophelia

In a new article on the great Radio Free Midwich blog Rob Hayler places among his personal musical favorite for 2017 an album by Caroline McKenzie called The Drowning of Ophelia. This is inspired of course by Hamlet and is a harrowing 4-hour work of mourning drone/dark ambient on the theme of death and catharsis. I would compare it to the best moments of William Basinski as well as Stars Of The Lid in some of the most uplifting moments. Caroline has been kind enough to offer this for free on her bandcamp along with an abridged version for the impatient. So, I think that you should go there and offer something as a donation for this great work.
