Million Brazilians – Poderoso Monicato

At this point, MB had already started shifting into the sprawling psych/free jazz/ambient fourth world primitive cannibal spaceship that they now are, and this one is really a recording you can get lost in. 2015 LP on Psychic Sounds.

Million Brazilians – Cult Music Of Ajitz

 

This is the first full-length LP of MB, and I like it more than Hideous Visions. It has a much more rudimentary and lo-fi sound, based almost exclusively on various percussions that border on gamelan accompanied by wind instruments and it has a cryptic cannibal ritual atmosphere. 2010 LP on Psychic Sounds.

Konstantia Gourzi – Anájikon

Greek modern classical composer, moods alternating between mournful homages to Mozart, ominous percussive ballet improvisations and epic string quartets. One of the best ECM releases in a long time. 2021 cd on ECM.

Razen - Rim Saraband

 

One of the most "acoustic" but highly droned-out recording of Razen, featuring immersive jams with Eastern wind and string instruments. Awesome. 2013 tape on Sloow Tapes.
