Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda ‎– The Ecstatic Music Of Alice Coltrane Turiyasangitananda

In the 1980s and 1990s Alice Coltrane recorded a number of private tapes playing Vedic devotional songs from the ashram she had founded in LA and this cd compiles some of these tracks. I can't say it's my cup of tea but historically it is very interesting. 2017 cd on Luaka Bop.

There's A Riot Going On

My warmest support goes to all those comrades rising up in American cities to confront state fascism and racial profiling. Having participated in anti-cop riots for years myself in the country I live in, I say that violent resistance is the only hope in a country without hope and that each rock thrown, each molotov cocktail exploding, each breath of hate against the pigs and the system that makes them is an act of love for the oppressed and the multi-cultural working class.
